Meadows and Hedges
These habitats - which we have been even more aware of during the pandemic - are under threat from agricultural practices, housing and road developments and even flood defences.
To celebrate Green Week 2021 I have hung a mini window exhibition in Eynsham Square -the village I call home! The paintings and poems depict our local ancient meadows and hedges which are vital for the survival of hundreds of species from flowers and fungi to birds, butterflies, insects, reptiles and mammals. These habitats - which we have been even more aware of during the pandemic - are under threat from agricultural practices, housing and road developments and even flood defences.
We hope you enjoy these paintings and poems and that they bring fresh wonder and appreciation of our natural habitats and inspire you to get involved with protecting and restoring our local ecology with the Nature Recovery Network: www.nature-recovery-network.org
